MY VISA PACK

Thank you for deciding to book a trip with MY VISA PACK (for expeditions) [hereinafter referred to as: “MVP”].
Before making a definite booking, we recommend you (hereinafter referred to as “contracting party”) to read carefully the following travel conditions. These general travel conditions and the term contracting party apply both to private persons (direct booking) and to (travel) organizations (see par. 1.2).


01. Reservation of trip / travel notification:

1.1 The contract comes about by means of a written acceptance by the contracting party of the offer of MVP, and / or payment of the required deposit or invoiced total amount, upon which a binding travel contract with MVP is effected, to which all conditions set out in paragraph 1.3 up to and including paragraph 11.3 apply…

1.2 If the contract has come about by means of a written acceptance and / or payment as per par. 1.1 by a (travel) organization…

1.3 The contracting party shall – before the effecting of the travel contract and its implementation provide MVP with the necessary (personal) data…

1.4 All trips booked through MVP will be confirmed by MVP by means of a confirmation (invoice) sent to the contracting party.


02. The travel offer / the travel elements:

2.1 The scope of the travel offer (the travel elements) booked by the contracting party is contractually recorded in the travel confirmation (invoice)…

2.2 MVP bears no responsibility for photos, brochures and other information material…


03. Payment:

3.1 On the effecting of the travel contract, the contracting party must pay an advance of 40% (non-refundable)…

3.2 After full payment has been received, the travel documents will be sent…

3.3 If the contracting party fails to fulfil the payment obligations…

3.4 If the payment is then made, but MVP cannot send the travel documents on time…


04. Changes in travel elements / price changes:

4.1 Changes in the travel offer… permitted only if they do not substantially alter the nature of the trip…

4.2 The agreed price is based on the prices, exchange rates, duties and taxes…


05. Cancellation of the trip by MVP:

5.1 MVP reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to or during the trip for compelling reasons…

5.2 MVP has the right to cancel the scheduled trip up to 30 days before departure…

5.3 MVP has the right in the case of force majeure… to cancel the trip.


06. Cancellation of the trip by the contracting party:

6.1 Cancellation fees:

  • Up to and including 90 days prior to departure: 20%
  • 89 to 60 days: 50%
  • 59 days to day of departure: 100%

6.2 Other (deviating) cancellation policies…

6.3 Flight and hotel reservation cancellation policy…

6.4 Trip changes are considered cancellations…

6.5 MVP STRONGLY RECOMMENDS taking out cancellation insurance.


07. Liability of MVP:

MVP is responsible for the selection of accommodation, providers of ships, hotels, etc…


08. Exclusion and limitation of the liability of MVP:

8.1 MVP acts as intermediary… not liable for baggage, injury, death etc.

8.2 Activities such as kayaking, diving, zodiac, helicopter flights etc. are at 100% own risk…

8.3 For air travel including helicopters, MVP is not liable…

8.4 MVP not liable for robbery or loss of documents…

8.5 No liability for claims covered by insurance…

8.6 No liability if fault is from contracting party…

8.7 Trips are in marginal zones, programme changes possible…

8.8 MVP can delay trip up to 24 hours, no refund applicable…

8.9 Medical services are used at participant’s own risk…

8.10 Medical evacuations may alter trip; MVP not responsible for refunds.


09. Obligations of the contracting party:

9.1 Must comply with instructions from trip leaders, pilots, crew, etc…

9.2 Any misbehavior may lead to exclusion from the trip…

9.3 All damages resulting from misbehavior are chargeable…

9.4 Complaints must be reported immediately to MVP leadership…

9.5 If not resolved, complaints must be formally submitted…

9.6 MVP may reject complaints based on defined criteria…

9.7 Final complaints must be submitted within 1 month of the trip’s end…

9.8 Participant must reconfirm departure time 72 hours prior.


10. Baggage / Travel documents and insurance:

10.1 Must have all required travel documents and certifications…

10.2 Must follow baggage rules and import restrictions…

10.3 Assistance is limited without travel/baggage insurance…

10.4 IT IS MANDATORY to have travel, medical, accident, repatriation insurance.

11. General:

11.1 Trip duration includes both departure and arrival days.

11.2 Dutch law applies to the contract.
